Kim Schwab

Kim’s passion for fitness began in high school when she first laced up her running shoes and took to the streets. In college, she added weight lifting to her routine and was invited to her first yoga class by her freshman composition instructor. Initially interested in yoga for “stretching,” her practice deepened when, while completing her graduate work in English at UNO, she began her 200-hour teacher training under Theresa Murphy and Tias Little. She has now been teaching yoga for over a decade and is finishing her 500-hour RYT through Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, NM. She currently divides her time between teaching composition, literature, and mindfulness courses at UNO and leading fitness and yoga classes. Her classes tend to emphasize the importance of playfulness and alignment while finding an appropriate level of
challenge. She loves yoga as a complement to her active lifestyle, both physically and mentally, and is now the English teacher encouraging her students to try yoga. For more information about Kim go to her website.
